Summary: I purchased the Lumix 25mm f/1.4 prime lens for its widest aperture being f1.4. The lens is so sharp even at f1.4. The focal length of 25mm is equivalent of 50mm in full-frame cameras. It is excellent for low light photography and portrait photography. Especially with portrait photography, the background bokeh (OOF)is smooth and creamy. I own Summiluxes for Leica M and Micro Four Thirds cameras as well.
If I had only one lens on my Olympus OMD E-P5, this would be the one.

Summary: As with many things about lenses, pictures of varying sharpness appear great until compared side by side from different lenses. After comparing results of the Panasonic 25mm f/1.4 to identical pictures with my Olympus 12-50mm, I am thankful that the kit lens was discounted as part of the package with my OMD E-M5. The Panasonic 25mm shows clearly its Leica heritage.
Summary: this is my 2nd lens for my E-M5 after I got Zuiko 75mm f/1.8. thinking about paying more than $500 for lens that equal to 50mm is crazy (my Nikon 50mm f/1.4G cost about $400 new), but it is great investment. size & weight is perfect for MFT camera. Handling is great, even for manual. Picture and color is sharp, warm and has plenty of contrast color.... all great but 1 thing, I wish the hood is reversible just like my Nikon.
Summary: I own a GF1 and recently purchased a GX1. I love prime lenses and will pay for good optics - there is no substitute for good glass! I own the 20mm pancake lens and the 45mm Leica lens (purchased in Japan). Before tackling this review, I reviewed my recent snaps taken with this lens on a Retina Display. This is an excellent product and worth every cent. I read every review on ebay and amzn before I purchased this lens.
