am loving this lens
31 March 2015
Summary: In January I purchased the 300mm F-2.8 to complete my system. I love the clarity and the color I am seeing. I am using this on my EM-1 with a MMF-3 adapter. Having the ability to go to the faster F-stop is allowing the images to capture both speed and maintain the lower ISO to hold the noise down.
Summary: The Lens is very crisp and I have been able to take some very nice images with it. I do suggest using a Mono Pod with it for assistance. The drop in filter system makes it work easy. Using with the EM-1...it is very fast focusing and handles well.
Summary: I'm a nature photographer, primarily photographing birds. I need a lot of power, razor-sharp quality and good performance in low light. This lens delivers. It is without question the best lens I've owned.
Summary: I rented this beauty for this year's Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. This lens is simply amazing. build quality is almost tank like, although I was more careful with it than a newborn baby. The focus range selector is great and performs very well.
Summary: Amazingly sharp, very high contrast (improves slightly by f3.5), will stand the EC-14 without degradation, and the EC-20 with minimal degradation wide open - better than the competition from Nikon or Canon. AF is fast, despite not being a SWD lens.
Pros: Sharpness, Contrast, fantastic performance with teleconverters
