Olympus 18-180 mm zoom lens

Stuball, Adorama
25 February 2014
  • Excerpt: I traded my 14-42 mm and 40-150 mm lenses for this lens. I plan to use it for an all round travel lens. First thing to note is that you will need a 4/3 adapter to use this lens on a on a micro 4/3 camera such as my E-PL1. The lens is heavier than both the lenses it replaces however is a better quality than its micro 4/3 counterparts.
  • Pros: Durable, Rugged, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy

Great Lens for all-around photography

  • Summary: I am very pleased with this very functional lens. I wish it was a bit faster at the higher focal length... but overall a great lens for travel and general outdoor shots. I decided to keep my Olympus E620 camera due to this lens. I have 3 Nikon camera's aand use them for sports and low light sports but this lens is great for travel and general outdoor work.

  • Summary: telephoto shooting catches edge of lens hood in photos quite a bit of grain when shooting in smaller aperatures even when have low ISO if you like macro, don't even think this lens can get you that a good combo of the 14-42 and 40-150 lenses if you get tired of switching them on the camera body (like i did)

Buen todo terreno

7 August 2011

  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Great picture quality, Rugged

Great overall lens.

  • Excerpt: This lens is a great overall lens. 18mm for those landscape shots and easily zooms up to 180mm for close ups. Very nice for traveling when your short on cargo space. A little pricey, but compared to other lenses on this category of lenses, it's well worth the price.
  • Pros: Lightweight, Rugged
  • Cons: Pricey but worth it
