Olympus 18-180 mm zoom lens

Stuball, Adorama
25 February 2014
  • Excerpt: I traded my 14-42 mm and 40-150 mm lenses for this lens. I plan to use it for an all round travel lens. First thing to note is that you will need a 4/3 adapter to use this lens on a on a micro 4/3 camera such as my E-PL1. The lens is heavier than both the lenses it replaces however is a better quality than its micro 4/3 counterparts.
  • Pros: Durable, Rugged, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy

Fantastic Lens at at great price...

rsring, Adorama
14 January 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this lens as my general travel lens on a OM-D E-M5. The 18-180mm (36-360 equiv) does a great job for sports and super-tele photo work and is still capable of moderate travel landscape work. The only drawback of the lens is that it's a bit chucky with a large outside diameter. It's not a huge drawback on an E 4/3 series, but it makes the M5 pretty nose heavy having to use the 4/3 to micro 4/3 adapter.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Rugged, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy

A decent all-round walking lens

A. McCullough, Amazon
4 August 2013
  • Summary: Let me preface this by saying I bought mine used and not from Amazon.com. With that out of the way, the lens I bought was in nearly-new condition and I've found it to be a perfect walk-around lens for my Olympus 4/3 DSLR. The lens is NOT fast and does require a good bit of light, but it is plenty sharp enough (especially so if you close up the aperture a little bit) and I have no problems recommending this lens to any owner of a similar Oly DSLR system.
