Summary: I got this lens for my Panasonic GM-1. At first, on the Internet, this lens is underrated but somehow once I recieved it tested it, this lens produce very sharp images. Personally I think handling and rotation of the lens is quite nice. Although it is bit noisy when autofocus, but it does give a good job. If you are a student and you don't have budget on f1.7, I would recommend this. A&R photo is kindly to provide a lens hood, and all accessories you need.
Summary: ------------ Bottom-line ------------ This lens embodies an excellent balance between optics and performance -and the final result is excellent. ----------- Details ----------- Forum junkies will tell you that resolution is ok, and that it has some "noticeable" distortion. For them, this lens wouldn't get more than 3 stars. Let them be. Photographers -on the other hand- will find an excellent balance between optics, size, and overall performance.
Summary: I have this lens for a week now and i love it, it surely compact and light. Picture quality is superb nice to take street photography even landscape, if your looking for a really compact lens i recommend this one.
Summary: I purchased this lens with an Olympus E-P2 kit for cheap on eBay and its one of my favorite lenses!!! I'm a commissioned photographer with work that will soon be in a gallery in Santa Fe and I think the quality of this lens is just right to spark the nostalgia of a bygone film era! I've had two copies of the Panny 20mm F1.8 lens and it's a tack sharp lens but I prefer the Bokeh of the 17mm pancake and it feels great on my E-P2.
