Summary: Great lens, works very well when attached to the E5. Performs well, focuses quickly, by far my favorite over the others that I own. I gave 4 out of 5 because the only thing that I wish was different was the distance marker, wish it were more detailed.
Summary: I bought this lens to adapt onto my PEN EP-2. I think the image quality is very good, although, I mainly wanted to use the lens for making video. Unfortunately, the sound of the auto-focus gears can be heard with the camera's microphone. I use a Electronic viewfinder, so there's no other way to add a mic. The lens auto-focus also jumps around a bit too much. I wish Olympus would make a high-quality ( perhaps zoom ) fast lens for the EP series.
Summary: Got the 14-54mm lens in time alright. It didn't look quite as "new" as the ad said it was "used-like new". It didn't look it beat up though for a used item but it was far from the other "like new " items I've ordered from you before. Scoring "new" as a 10, "like new" should be about 9 or 9+. I rate this item 7 or 7+. Not even an 8. It didn't have a rear cap, and the hood was really scratched I had to buff it to make it look presentable.
Summary: Great for outdoor photography, however for indoor my e-500 was slow on focusing. I got this lens to replace my 14-45mm. After playing with the 14-54mm a bit I can tell you that there is a significant improvement is the sharpness. Also, with indoor photography the extra /f helps. My next attempt to improve the focusing is the FL-36 or FL-50. Both of those flashes have Auto Photo assist. I got this lenses for half the price of when it came out to the market.

Summary: The shiping took almost a month (FedEx)and it costed a lot in my opinion, almost half the lens price with the import taxes...the product very ok ...wraping poor...I ordered 2 lenses at the same time from different selers...the other lens got here in 4 days and it costed me the shiping and taxes less than half...but....the product very ok...good luck...
Summary: In this review I will compare the Olympus Zuiko 14-54 mm zoom to the 14-42 mm "kit" lens. But first, in the way of disclosure, the 14-54 mm lens I am testing I bought used. It works well, the glass is not scratched, the zoom and focus are very smooth, but it is used. The kit lens I purchased new. The first thing one notices about the 14-54 mm lens is its size. (Somewhere in the images there should be a picture of my 14-42, 14-54, and 40-150 Zuiko lenses.
Summary: I purchased the 14-54 lens as an upgrade to my camera kit. Other lenses that I use include the 14-42, 17.5-45, 40-150 and the 70-300, all being good lenses of standard build/grade. The 14-54 offers "weatherproof" construction that can stand up to splashes and dust. Living in a sea coast environment, I bought an E-1 for the same weatherproof qualities, hoping to overcome my reluctance to expose my other lenses(and my e-410) to beach sand, crashing waves, etc.
