nikon 105mm f/2.8 micro lens

  • Summary: Excellent lens, the macro effects are outstanding, this is what I was looking for in a micro lens. I prefer to use MF on macro photography as it gives me more control of the background.

A Look At An Old But Still Great Lens

oneofakindalbert, Ebay
7 February 2011
  • Summary: Folks who do a lot of photography like to stack the odds in their favor. The AI-S Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 ED-IF lens does that very well. The f2.8 expands the photographer's possibilities a lot. The depth of field at 20 ft. is 3", which does wonders for the background. The ED glass gives very sharp results. It is comforting to know that images as crisp as possible, will be there in a post-shoot examination. Yes, it's heavy, but a monopod helps.
