Excerpt: I needed a good prime lens read all the reviews..this is what I picked so far it's everything I had hoped it would be. My bonus daughter is getting married and I wanted a lens to do some portrait photos.
very happy!
Excerpt: I am switching from portrait photography to dslr film so I purchased this lens for my second camera. The lens performs very well, producing clear photos and great video. It's lightweight which makes it ideal for carrying with you for long periods of time without fatigue.(also when you want to quickly switch between shots or focal lengths.) If you're looking for a great 50mm lens, I would highly recommend this one for you to consider.
Pros: Easy To Use, Great price, Lightweight, Reliable
Excerpt: Good lens...
It's sharp (8.5 of 10), fairly fast auto focusing, and has good bokeh. The chromatic aberration is pretty high, but can be removed with LR in most cases.
Overall, good lens.
Excerpt: Some of the photos taken by me using this lens were superb and I have had some posters of them on my wall. I took my little 6 months kids pictures with it and some of my friends won't believe that I have taken those pictures.. Really neat. Worth buying it along with your DSLR. I used it with Nikon D5300.
Excerpt: Put the lens on my serviced Nikon D600 and had high expectations for the 50 as my walk=around, everyday lens. Not disappointed! Amazingly sharp, good contrast, and excellent color rendition, Combined with the great higher ISO qualities of the D600 getting excellent results with existing low light situations.
Pros: Durable, Excellent resolution, Great Color Rendition
