Excerpt: I used this lens to take some still life and product photos. It produces very lovely colours and creates a wonderful bokeh. The lens is also quite economical. I am still getting accustomed to zooming with my legs.
Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight, Reliable, Very affordable
Excerpt: This is my first prime lens. I use it allotb in my film classes. Crazy depth of field and 1.8 helps me avoid flash atball costs. I also love how quick and quiet the auto focus is. Great purchase
Excerpt: The Nikkor 50 mm lens is by far one of my favorite lenses of all time. I use it for weddings and portraits, as well as for fine art images. The aperture opens wide, allowing you to create a gorgeous shallow depth of field (bokeh). The images it produces are crisp and clean.
Summary: This lens is great! Especially for the price. The accessories aren't amazing, but again, for what I paid, I can't complain too much. The lens is exactly what you'd expect out of the brand, my only complaint is about the flash. It's a bit slow, even for a non-speed flash.
