Excerpt: This lens was just as good as new. Not a mark on it. Super sharp. Half the cost. Cameta's warranty. Would not hesitate to buy refurbed lenses from Cameta at all, in fact, this may be the only way I buy from now on...
The lens to get if you just don't want to pay 1K+ for a FX zoom lens

Summary: Very good lens for the money. Not the largest aperature, or the toughest construction, but its sharp, fast to focus in decent light (which mostly depends on the camera body), light, fairly compact. I tried one in stores and it didn't seem to hold a candle to Sigma's ART 28-105 F/4 lens (Which easily costs at least double), but I figured it was probably a used and abused model that was representative of the real deal. Turns out I was right.
Summary: This used lens looks and functions like new - I was concerned that even though refurbished by Nikon, it might be 'mint' as advertised. I was wrong, it is perfect. Filter kit and cleaners are fine, too.
Very sharp image in low light using image stabilization.

Summary: Mount this lens onto the D810 and you now have a behemoth of a camera. I've been using the Olympus OM DEM5 and OM DEM1 cameras with electronic zoom and focus controls, so when I actuated the zoom ring on this lens it was quite a surprise as to how stiff it was to do so. I'm sure I 'll get used to it, but by comparison, it is very stiff.
