• Excerpt: I was looking for something inexpensive as a temporary wide zoom lens for my D2X and I bought this one.
Surprisingly it is very sharp something you don't expect from a 100 dollars lens.
Focus is not super fast but it is fast enough for me.
I'm just very happy with it.
No softness at any focal point.
Love it.
 • Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Sharp

 • Excerpt: The original lens that came with my Nikon D40 broke, so I purchased this as a replacement. It works beautifully and while not a high powered distance lens, it is great for day to day casual shots around the house, or in close quarters.
 • Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight

Good all-round use

The Night Cycler, B&H Photo
25 February 2014
 • Excerpt: After my D80 fell off its tripod mount and destroyed my 18-70mm lens in the process, I needed a lens for all-round use that wasn't particularly expensive in case when I upgrade my camera, I purchase an FX rather than a DX model.

This lens was extremely cheap. I am surprised by how light it is in comparison to the 18-70 mm it replaces. I am very happy with the photographs I get from it.

Wonderful!

 • Excerpt: This lens was originally supposed to be part of the package when I bought the body. I opted out and instead bought a 50mm lens, which is great, however it it not AF. Being new to photography, I didn't know the difference. All of my pictures were blurry and I was getting frustrated. At Christmas, I learned even the most experienced photographer relatives used AF lens. I rushed home, and found you had the best price and ordered. I am loving it!
 • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Rugged, Strong Construction

 • Excerpt: My daughter was given a Nikon camera with manual lens. The camera is no longer made and she was not using the camera due to the manual lens. I found this lens and it works great with the camera. Now my daughter is capturing pictures of my granddaughters everyday. Well worth the research and the money.

Very good lens.

 • Summary: This is a very good lens. Good zoom. Light weight. Nice glass. Gathers light well. This lens is used on a Nikon D3000 to take family photographs in a number of settings. Focuses very fast so you can catch that action as it happens. I have a number of these lens at work and they have all preformed well under many situations. This lens will work well with about any Nikon camera. I've used it this lens on the D3200 and D90 and it has always worked well.
