Great Lens

Kyle D, Adorama

  • Excerpt: This lens is great for low light without flash photos. I love it as a walk around lens because it performs well and weighs next to nothing. I use it on a DX camera and I get the equivelent of a 50mm lens on a FX camera. For the price, this lens is a no brainer.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh

Back to basic: excellent

Dr. Mike, B&H Photo
23 March 2014
  • Excerpt: I've only had this a few weeks now, no field use, only some tests around home with natural light (high/low) and flash, close and distant. This arrived while my 'normal' D300 kit lens (18-200mm) was being repaired for a 3rd time in as many years. Time, I think, for a smaller, lighter lens, and why not the closest to 'prime' for a DX camera that I've seen.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Great value, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
  • Cons: None yet

Nice glass

  • Excerpt: I haven't had the opportunity to use this lens very often yet. However, the times I have used it it has proven to be just what I was hoping for in fast glass. I also found the price to be very reasonable.
