Summary: On the camera I had before I was comfortable deciding if the problem was with me or the camera and lens. When I shoot with this lens I am getting some grainy shots. There may very well be things I can do to correct this problem with my settings. Please don't decide to make a purchase on my experience thus far. Both the camera and the lens are new to me and I am still in the learning curve for this camera.
Summary: I was skeptical about manual focusing because I require minor corrective lens to see up close, but the price is very affordable so it's a lens I would have to do without if it cost $300 to $500 or so. I find that focusing is not an issue but it's hard to hold this thing steady by hand so expect to use a tri-pod or have someplace to rest the camera on to use this lens. I'm a hobby photographer using this lens to shoot birds in the backyard for the most part . . .

Summary: I got this as a pickup lens for potential telephoto shots. Biggest gripe I have is there is NO Auto Focus on this camera despite its description. It is also pretty bulky and for me having such an unsteady hand I'd need to break out my tripod if I were to use this. I've only taken 2 shots with this lens and will maybe do more. For now it just sits in its box that it came in.
