Excerpt: If you are a present or former View Camera photographer, you will not be even close to what you are accustomed to. Most importantly, you can not swing and tilt in the same photo. Secondly, you can not do tilt and rise/fall in the same photo. Nikon's owner's manual does say that you can send the lens to them, at additional cost, and they will re-configure this lens so that rise/fall and tilt can be done in the same photo.
Excerpt: I bought this in order to shoot food. Overhead shots are impossible to do with this lens as the lens does NOT hold the focus when shooting from above. The focusing ring simply moves by itself due to the weight of the moving parts in the lens that are pulled down by gravity. I do not know if this is a general problem of this lens or if the one I bought (used, but in E+ conditions) was defective.Luckily, I could return the lens, but I am in any event extremely disappointed...
