Nikkor AF 28mm f/2.8 D (FX) - Review / Test Report
18 January 2010
Conclusion: In addition, vignetting is on a rather high level at large apertures. CAs are also quite pronounced, especially stopped down. However they are easy to correct in post processing. Bokeh is not stellar either.
Nikkor AF 28mm f/2.8 D (DX) - Review / Lab Test Report
12 January 2010
Conclusion: Distortion moderate and vignetting no issue, except wide open. CAs are very pronounced stopped down, but can be taken care of in post-processing. The build quality is very good. Unfortunately the lens has no internal motor, which means it doesn't autofocus on Nikon's entry-level DX cameras.
Conclusion: The principal design of the Nikkor AF 28mm f/2.8D is obviously closely related to the AF 24mm f/2.8D so it shares some of its characteristics. The resolution figures are very good but otherwise the lens left something to be desired for a fix-focal.
