Fantastic Lens

  • Excerpt: I rented this lens to take on vacation, after the first shots were taken, I was sold! I went right out and bought it! If your looking for photos with that creamy smoooth bokeh, this is your lens. If your looking for crisp clear detail, this is your lens. There is very little, if any distortion, or CA. Of all the lenses in my bag, this is the one I use the most. It's perfect for landscapes, portraits, just about anything. Don't wait any longer, buy this lens!

  • Excerpt: I've had this lens for a few weeks and while it is heavy and expensive, the quality of photos I get with my D7100 makes this lens well worth it. It's good with close ups and portraits, as well as landscapes. An all around favorite.

  • Excerpt: I use this lens for everything - weddings, seniors, children/babies, newborns, maternity shoots, etc. This lens is a workhorse. 24mm is wide enough for most shots when you want more scenery in the background & 70mm is close enough for portraits, detail shots, etc. PERFECT, nothing better out there!

Worth it's Weight

rpcjapan, Ebay

  • Summary: Best all around lens I have used in 50 years. Light it is not. Worth the effort to carry, it is. Mounted on a Nikon D-800 body with a motor drive, the combination is well balanced. Great photo quality glass. Previously I used a 35-70 AF-S Nikkor and the extra wide angle ability of 24-70 is very welcome.

I love this lens.

Askmir, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I'm a wedding photographer and shoot with 2 D3 bodies-all the time-with 2 32 GB cards in each. So I wasn't changing cards, but changing lenses all the time, I love primes and typically for a wedding, I'd carry a 24 a 35 a 50 a 85 and the 105 macro. Initially I wasn't impressed with the look, the size and weight of the lens vis-a-vis the 3 primes it replaced for me, so didn't buy it all these years, but the last wedding I shot, I borrowed it from a friend, and the results...
