Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor is a versatile 11x Zoom lens. Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor features VR image stabilization and is designed exclusively for use with Nikon’s DX-format. Its VR II system offers the equivalent of using a shutter speed 4 stops faster. This lens offers broad 18 - 200mm focal range for use in a variety of situations, equivalent to a 27-300 lens in 35mm format.

Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor is equipped with two Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass and three aspherical lens elements which minimize chromatic aberration, astigmatism and other forms of distortion, while ensuring high resolution and contrast. The Nikon Super Integrated Coating (SIC) offers superb color reproduction while minimizing ghosting and flare. This also lens incorporates a Silent Wave Motor (SWM) allows for fast, quiet focusing. It delivers a high-level optical performance designed exclusively for use with Nikon DX digital format. This lens also features 7-blade rounded diaphragm opening that achieves a natural blur for out-of-focus elements. Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor comes with a Flower-shaped lens hood (HB-35) which provides greatly reduced stray light.

Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor offers a LC-72 72mm snap-on front lens cap, LF-1 rear lens cap, HB-35 bayonet hood and CL-1018 flexible lens pouch. This lens measures 3.0x3.8in. (Diameter x Length) 77x96.5mm (Diameter x Length) and weighs 19.8oz.(560g).

    As a general lens that covers a large focal range, this one produced nice results and the quick, silent autofocus along with the upgraded Vibration Reduction made it a joy to use. While not really up to producing big enlargements, it did well enough up to A4 from a desktop printer and the advantages of not having to constantly change lenses will be a boon for many.     "love the range of this, it's a bit heavy but lighter than carrying around 2 lenses to make up for what the ground it can cover. VR great with the lowlight, zoom has a nice sturdy feel and hasn't started to "creep" on me yet only bad...the hood will block the flash and creates a shadow at the bottom of your image, otherwise works ok **hey!! the canon's at this price don't even come equipped iwth a hod so maybe i can't complain :X the 72mm end is pretty = more light...
