  • Summary: I have a Nikon d600 and this lens wasn't auto focus, I had to return it. The seller was very honest and kind. I was sad the lens didn't work on a full frame.

An outdated prime for DX or a poor sample?

  • Summary: I've got my copy for D90 and compared with zoom lens 16-85mm at 24mm for indoor portrait. It's very disappointing. The 16-85mm is visibly superior at 24mm than this 24mm prime including sharpness, chromatic aberration, distortion. On the other hand, this 24mm prime is better at focus speed, low light performance (f2.8 vs f4.5) and weight. Even if mine is a below average sample, it may still be useful sometimes.

Don't waste your money on this one

  • Summary: The optical design on this lens is outdated ! High vignetting at f/2.8 and clearly visible cromatic abberation when used on a D-SLR. The lens performs as a modern mediocre zoom lens. Not what you would expect from a Nikon prime.Resolution is decent.
