Great little Nikon 1 lens
Slothead, B&H Photo
2 July 2015
Excerpt: THis is a great little all-around, walk-around lens. Its effective (35mm) focal length is 27 - 270mm which covers just about any need on the street in good light. The unlocking/extension function slows me down a little, but also turns the camera on an off saving time there.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Rugged
Excerpt: I purchased the Nikon 1 V3 as a companion camera to my D300s. And the 10-100 lens has a zoom ratio that is pretty close to the reach of the 18-200 on my D300. But the combination is less than half the size of the D300s.
Excerpt: New grandchild just arrived and this lens captures every moment . From that first close up smile to the group shot of all the doting parents. From now on for all my traveling adventures I only need to carry this 10-100 and my Nikor 70-300 with a simple monopod. Love it!!!!
Pros: Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight
Excerpt: I bought a Nikon 1V3 for fast action daytime sports/action shots. The kit lens just didn't have enough reach to it,so it then became a choice of getting the 10-100m or the 70-300m lens. I got the 10-100m lens and man am I ever pleased with it.
Summary: The Nikon 1 10-100mm zoom lens is optically superb and elevates the Nikon 1 system to new heights. The focal length of 27 to 270mm (35mm equivalent) is very versatile and the excellent Vibration Reduction (VR) feature produces images that rival DSLR results.
