I Absolutely Love It!

Joe, Amazon
16 May 2014
  • Summary: Even though this lens is pretty old it works amazingly with my Sony A65 SLR. If you are looking take portraits of people I recommend this lens 100% also wasn't crazy expensive like other 50mm that Sony made.

Bought a second one

Amy Hoover, Amazon
4 May 2014
  • Summary: My boyfriend uses this one and I wanted one. Works very well for a low light lens and for doing weddings. For the $80 price (used) including two day shipping it's a steal. We use it with Sony a33/a55/a57.

Best Investment

Keeta, Amazon
25 April 2014
  • Summary: I was a little skeptical about purchasing this lens. The price was too good to be true and it was also a used product. I am so happy I went ahead and bought this lens! It's a small lens but gets the job done and produces some pretty dope pictures!

  • Summary: Great lens at reasonable price. Works well with Sony A-series camera. Great for portraits when you want a clear subject and a blurry background.

Good deal for a very good lens

Jim Brodeur, Amazon
1 March 2014
  • Summary: I found a used version of this lens for under $60 and I couldn't be happier. It is a very well made, durable lens, and takes very sharp pictures. You will never find a better lens for under $100. The focal length is good for most portrait shots and the bokeh is excellent. One gripe I have is the AF, it sometimes hunts for a bit before it can lock on and it is pretty loud. If money wasn't a consideration I would go for a new Sony 1.4 or 1.8 prime.

Low light lens for Sony A mount

raf8675309, Ebay
9 February 2014
  • Summary: I needed something other than the kit lens that came with my Sony A57 so I looked around on line to see what people were buying. I needed shallow DOF and low light, so this lens fit the bill. The lens is small and light, and fit my needs perfectly. As you guys know, once you buy one new lens and realize how much better your photos are, you start looking for more. If you need a low light A mount lens for your Sony, this is the one.

Sayed Ali, Amazon
6 January 2014
  • Summary: I have received the lens in a well protected package, i'm using it for my Sony a58 DSLT , the focus is a bit tricky with this lens but the sharpness is great, depth of field is also great with this lens with great low light performance I recommend it as a first lens to upgrade after the kit lens for Sony users
