Excerpt: I still don't quite have the hang of selective focus but boy is this a lot of fun! I have been reconsidering past photographic subjects, looking at things in a completely new, fresh way. The hardest part of using this for me is knowing where the sweet spot is in relation to how much I've rotated the lens. It's very well made and easy to use with my D600. I'm thinking that I may just keep it permanently affixed to my older D300.
Excerpt: Really a fun lens. Allows you to be creative with ordinary shots and isolate your subject in a unique fashion. I really enjoy the potential of this lens and think anyone looking for something new to try to be more expressive with their photography should get this lens.
Excerpt: I love this lens! It adds some fun to my "snapshots" and inspires me to step out of my comfort zone a bit. Highly recommend, the photos are beautiful with this lens! It's manual focus, so there is a learning curve.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Summary: Even simple subjects look great with this lens, but I especially love the portraits I have taken with it! Fun to experiment with and I am loving the added atmosphere I can create with a simple tilt.
Excerpt: Very well constructed. Nice to have a fully manual lens again. Helps me to slow down and think about the image I want to create. Love the selective focus ability and the smooth bokeh this lens creates.
Excerpt: I bought it fully aware that is fully manual. Something I have yet to master. But I am in love with the creative possibilities for it. I only use it for still so can´t tell about moving objects.
