Summary: It's definitely a fun lens to have around- I will admit I don't use it much though and I would never use it on a client. It's also nothing a beginner would be able to use. It's not super simple to get a sharp image so you definitely have to know how to use a camera to use this!
Don't expect a clean picture -- this is absolutely a special-use lens

Summary: The Lensbaby lenses are obviously made for special-use scenarios only. Everybody should be very clear on that. Don't buy this lens thinking that you can use it as a replacement for a real tilt/shift lens with sharp image quality across the frame, because it just doesn't do (and isn't intended to do) that no matter what you do with it. If you are looking for a specialty lens that intentionally distorts and contorts images, well, you're looking at the right product.
Summary: I bought this one for my Nikon DSLRs and works great. The construction does not look great but it does take some nice tilt and sift pictures which I enjoy shooting and showing off as some wonder how I had done them LOL
Summary: A great lens to play with...I haven't used it as much as I'd hoped. The control on the lens is good - I have a Lensbaby 2.0 also and like the Composer's ability to lock in a position. Good for artistic work - I just need to get out and use it more!
Summary: What a fun lens- And what unique looking shots you can take with htis lens. Althouygh not the sharpest lens in my bag, this lens allows me to get creative in ways that regular lenses don't. Used wide open- this lens creates a very nice blurr vignet that focusses attention on the subject- sure, you could create a blurr in photoshop- but in my experience, it just isn't the same quality blurr as a lensbaby creates in camera.
Summary: The Composer Pro controls sweet-spot and focus definitely better than the Lensbaby 2. The latter's ephemeral, fleeting results were interesting yet non-reproduceable. The Composer Pro is bigger, though. The Sweet 35 optic's image is less attractive than the Lensbaby 2's 50mm in terms of blur and bokeh.
Summary: The Lensbaby system is something I've wanted to try for a while to add effects to landscapes and artistic photography. The effects can be overdone, but for certain things, particularly if you have a lensbaby look in mind, it can work very well. The Composer Pro is very well made, robust and easy to use, and relatively easy to focus, bearing in mind this needs to be done manually.
Summary: I've been thinking about getting a lensbaby for a while, but it wasnt top of my list. It took me a while to get the hang of this lens - using internet resources rather than the limited accompanying information. However internet information is plentiful both for artistic and technical needs. This is not a lens for straightforward images, and I purchased it to do something different with autumn colours. The objective was achieved and I loved the results.
