Composer Pro with Sweet 35

Lindsey, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: When B&H had the lensbaby sale (buy composer pro & sweet 35, get edge 80 free) I HAD to jump on it. I've been wanting both of these lenses for a while & this was the perfect opportunity for me to try each of them. I like the effect the sweet 35 gives, but it is a little too zoomy for my liking. I find it does fit well for more urban shots. I LOVE the edge 80! Changing out the lenses can be a little tricky, so watch the how to videos if needed.
  • Pros: Lightweight, Nice Bokeh
  • Cons: Tough To Attach

I have struggled to find the sweet spot of focus

Wanda K Bacon, Amazon
3 January 2015
  • Summary: I would suggest that anyone who purchases this...also purchase the class. I have struggled to find the sweet spot of focus. I have some very creative pics without the class but for the price of this item its best to just crowbar open that wallet and buy the class....too bad they don't offer the class free especially given the cost of this limited use lens.

This lens is awesome

Glen the dad, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: Honestly, this lens is awesome. I am not a "gear head" so I can't tell you that this lens is amazing at whatever whatever, but it is just genuinely fun to play with and has produced some exciting and unique images. Manually focusing the sweet spot isn't the easiest thing in the world, and takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's just a blast to play with.
  • Pros: Lightweight, Nice Bokeh
  • Cons: Slow Focus, Weak Casing

  • Excerpt: Really a fun lens. Allows you to be creative with ordinary shots and isolate your subject in a unique fashion. I really enjoy the potential of this lens and think anyone looking for something new to try to be more expressive with their photography should get this lens.
  • Pros: Nice Bokeh

n accessory lens with dynamic focus

David, B&H Photo
6 June 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this for dramatic focus effects out of the camera. This is a novelty lens, something to buy when you essentially have most of the lenses you want, or don't mind spending a few bucks to get a limited-purpose tool. It permits you to play with a dynamic sweet spot, thanks to the ability of the user to change the axis of the lens with respect to the film/sensor plane. It takes some getting used to in order to get satisfactory results.
  • Pros: Durable, Dynamic Creativity, Dynamic Focus, Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh
  • Cons: Blurry Focus, Inconsistent output, Long Learning Curve, No Automatic Functions
