Summary: This was my first Lensbaby, the 3G. I had seen this on some video tutorials and thought this was the only one. I bought it used, like new, so I could save a few bucks. Then I discovered the family of Lensbaby's. As they say, the rest is history. This is the one I first learned on, sweet spot and blur. At first it was a learning curve, especially on how to hold it and push the shutter button.
Summary: Very cool lens. This was used so I had to buy the aperture kit $12 no big deal. I used to use my 50mm for my quick and dirty work, but I love being able to push the focus point around so much!

Summary: You just can't convey to anyone how much fun you can have with this lens. People say "you're kidding, right"? No, I'm not!!! If you have any "creative juices" in you at all, this lens will bring it out!!! Once you master the controls, you're on the way to a very unique area of photography - one you will surely enjoy. As the saying states - "Try it, you'll like it".
Summary: This little guy is a tricky guy to work with but it is fun, I can't imagine a better invested money for something fun. I must add that the price should have included the sturdy case sold separate that I got as well.
Summary: This is a really cool product for the effect it achieves. I don't use it a lot, as it's a unique effect that doesn't lend itself to every situation. It's a royal pain to setup and use, very time-consuming compared to any other lens, but when you want this exact effect, it's the only cost-effective way to achieve the selective focus style it captures so well.
Summary: One of my complaints about the digital world (while I shot and enjoy it) is that it is predictable. This can lead to some pretty uncreative photography. I love how the Lensbaby puts creativity, experimentation, and the random back into photography. It is wonderful. If you are willing to let go of some control and have some fun, the baby is for you. Two thumbs up!
Summary: Lensbabies 3G for Canon EF - is a great tool for creative pictures! It makes sharp the chosen target but blurs everything else on picture in a nice way. One of the main features of this lens that you can make yourself the form of diaphragm (heart, star, cross, square, and etc). The other feature that you can fix desired view with three metal posts (not as with lensbabies 2.0 or MUSE).
Summary: I bought the Lensbaby 3G from Amazon a month or so ago. Since I've received it, I can't say I could be more pleased. This thing is awesome! It's so easy to use (in spite of what you may think from looking at it), and I can focus it on just about anything almost instantly. It's so easy to focus that I can grab shots just as easily as if I'd had an autofocus lens on my camera. Stuck with a boring background, and need to make a creative portrait?
