LEICA APO-Summicron-M 90mm f/2 ASPH
31 August 2010
Conclusion: If you don't mind the size and weight, this LEICA APO-SUMMICRON-M 90mm f/2 ASPH is the best telephoto lens ever made. If most of your shooting is at f/2, f/2.8 and f/4, this is the best 90mm lens to get.
Pros: Fantastic anyplace you need a medium tele lens, and don't mind the extra size (55mm filters) and weight (475g total) compared to slower 90mm lenses.
Cons: Anyone demanding the smallest, lightest lens. For this, use the 90mm f/2.8 TELE-ELMARIT-M (1974-1990, 39mm filters, 225g and about $400 used) or today's newest LEICA MACRO-ELMAR-M 90mm f/4 (39mm filters, 223g and about $2,000 new).
