Awesome Lens

M, B&H Photo
24 January 2014
  • Excerpt: Flawless performer as a Macro as well as a fast 100mm equivalent. Amazingly sharp, fantastic bokeh, subject isolation and shallow depth of field.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction

Outstanding 120mm lens

craig, B&H Photo
21 August 2012
  • Excerpt: The resolution is outstanding, but there is more to this lens than mere "sharpness". Images show a micro-contrast, a three dimensionality that allows the viewer to literally "feel" the subject, to enter the image. Whether color or monochrome (B&W), the images have a draw or characteristic that is unique. The lens is extremely expensive and the images show why. While it is touted as a "macro" lens, it can be used for "general" photography as well.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easy to focus, Extreme sharpness, Flat field, Micro-contrast, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Expensive
