Do not touch

  • Summary: I am very disappointed with the fall off on the edges when using My Sony Handycam. It is okay in the centre but if you want edge to edge sharpness forget it. Anyone want it for half price ?
  • Pros: Lightweight
  • Cons: Blurry Focus

  • Summary: Works perfect on my Panasonic video camera with 37mm filter size. It comes with adapters to fit other cameras. I haven't taken it off the camera yet. It makes it way more useful. Looks great. Well made. Feels solid.
  • Pros: Appearance, Bang for Buck, Image, Quality
  • Cons: More glass more risk

Performs Well

  • Summary: This is a great lens for 37mm thread cameras, like the Panasonic digital videocam series. There is no vignetting when matched to the right camera, and it allows for a nice wide angle shot, making for superior lower light close ups. Why not 5 stars? Well, at full 1x there is a modest fish-eye effect. Most of these lenses have it, especially in this price range. So if you frame your shot to the centre, it works very well.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Easy To Clean, Sharp Focus, Strong Construction

  • Summary: It would be actually a very good lens, but the thing that happened to the customer who wrote a review in october 2006 just happened to me and on the first day I'm using the lenses!!! That's right! there's a lot of dirt stucked inside the lens on the internal glasses which is impossible to reach to clean up!!!

Good lens

  • Summary: I haven't had this lens for as long as the guy in the other review, in fact I just got it. As far as the quality goes it is very high quality and looks great. It's definitely the best lens you can get for the money; of course who's to say what will happen in 3 years? If I can get 3 years of use out of this lens then honestly I don't think I'll bicker about it if something goes wrong. By then it will probably be scratched up enough that I'd want a new one anyways.

  • Summary: I've had this wide angle lens for a little over three yearsand up till now, it has worked for me pretty well despiteannoying vignetting when zooming (which i understand happensto most wide angle lenses).a week or so ago, i noticed specs on footage i shot. eachtime i shot, there were more and more black specs and lines. after some investigating, i realized that it was the lens. it is not dirt on the surface of the lens.
