Fujinon XF 60mm f/2.4 R macro (Fujifilm) - Review / Test Report
6 July 2012
Conclusion: The Fujinon XF 60mm f/2.4 R macro is the best of the three initial lenses for the X-mount. The image quality is already very good at f/2.4 and bitingly sharp around f/4. The resolution remains impressive till about f/11. If you are into macro photography f/16 may be an option but better avoid f/22 due to heavy diffraction effects. Lateral CAs are very low and not relevant from a real world perspective.
Excerpt: This telephoto macro lens for the Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera provides a field of view equivalent to a 91mm lens on a 35mm camera, has a bright f/2.4 maximum aperture, produces half life size magnification at its closest focusing distance and costs around £600.
Pros: Excellent sharpness from edge to edge, even at wide apertures, Low distortion, Very Lightweight, Traditional design, Excellent build
Cons: Issue with internal reflections under certain conditions, Slow autofocus at close distances
