Excerpt: I use this lens on my XE1 for night shooting. It is keenly sharp and does not require a flash. Some folks don't like the square hood but I like it just fine. It stays on and does it's job. The lens is light but very solid.
Summary: If you own an x series body, then it's a no brainer that you should own this lens. I purchased this when I purchased the x-pro1 and a 23mm 1.4 and the 35mm has almost permanantly been glues to the x-pro1. Not only is this my favorite focal length but this lens also renders beautifully! The colors are gorgeous and the detail is ALL there. It's SO sharp I can't believe it sometimes.
Summary: I choose the 35 mm F 1.4 lens to complement my 18mm - 50 mm kit lens. I planned to get a prime lens that allows me to shoot in critical light condition as well as creating shots with nice bokehs to isolate the subject. What can I say ? My expectations have been fully met. Razor sharp images and beautiful bokehs - I love this lens !
Excerpt: If you have a Fuji X-Trans camera body, this lens is a must! I recently bought an X-T1 and purchased this lens along with it...it is a razor-sharp, fantastic lens!!! I bought a few other lenses as well, but find myself using the 35MM the most!
Excerpt: This is a terrific prime. I use it with my Fuji XE2 camera. I have recently updated the software on both lens and camera, and now this lens focuses even faster. Clarity and sharpness are very good, images are clean and bright. In general, I like Fuji's prime lenses a lot. I find them to be well-made, feel good in hand, well-balanced on the camera, and love the bokeh produced when this lens is wide open, taking advantage of its fast f/1.4 aperture.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Fast, Lightweight, Reliable, Sharp
Excerpt: This is a wonderful piece of glass. With the current lens discounts, it's even that much better. My only "complaint" is with the slightly loose hood, and the tupperware-like hood cover (be careful, or you will lose it). But that's about it. Worthy of five stars.
