Excerpt: This lens is exactly what I needed for street shooting. The optics are excellent and have no flare when shooting against the light. I'd used the fixed lens on the X100s, but it was too limiting.
Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I've been using pentax, olympus and nikon 80's- 90's era manual focus prime lenses with my XT-1 and have been happy with the output and user experience yet there are just times when autofocus, stabilisation and the ability to "zoom with your fingers" just can't be beat.
Best Kit Lens Ever - But Probably Don't Purchase It Separately

Excerpt: I bought this as the higher-end kit lens with my XT-10. I use it in general purpose photography, ranging from night shots, portraits, indoor shots of pets and kids, and especially my semi-pro work shooting photos to tell the stories I utilize in my work at an advocacy nonprofit.
Pros: Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Inexpensive, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I use this lens with my X-E1 for keeping with me at all times for those shots "I wish I had my camera". to capture. Also, for street photography and landscape. It is not the fastest lens for focusing, but overall, I am very pleased with the performance of this lens.
Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight, Strong Construction
Excerpt: This is not the 3.5-5.6 cheaper alternative kit lens. This lens is solid and the image quality is excellent. It has Optical Image Stabilization. I'm not too crazy about the protruding zoom element though. Size wise, this lens is a darling to the point you'd want to hug it!
Excerpt: This lens often suffers from quality control issues. Despite the metal construction and sense of solid quality, in actual reality the lens barrel and mount may have some play and little wobbly when the lens barrel is extended.
Excerpt: The copy of this lens is soft, tested on a solid tripod with the OS off against both the 18mm f2 and the 35mm f1.4 and it's not even close to the same performance. I did a quick decentering test and it clearly has some issues in that reguard.
