Punches well above its weight - very useful

Excerpt: I've had this lens for a bit over six months, and used it quite a bit. The "wise men" of the Internet will tell you that this is a variable-aperture zoom, built to a relatively low price point as a kit lens for some of the less expensive mirrorless Fujis.
Excerpt: Bought this lens and a X Pro1 to replace a older Canon 5D. I'm getting older and wanted something smaller and lighter. Lens and camera have exceeded my expectations. Have found the OIS works and has allowed me to take low light hand held pictures that I would miss with my 5D.
Excerpt: This lens is exactly what I needed for street shooting. The optics are excellent and have no flare when shooting against the light. I'd used the fixed lens on the X100s, but it was too limiting.
Excerpt: I've been using pentax, olympus and nikon 80's- 90's era manual focus prime lenses with my XT-1 and have been happy with the output and user experience yet there are just times when autofocus, stabilisation and the ability to "zoom with your fingers" just can't be beat.
Best Kit Lens Ever - But Probably Don't Purchase It Separately

Excerpt: I bought this as the higher-end kit lens with my XT-10. I use it in general purpose photography, ranging from night shots, portraits, indoor shots of pets and kids, and especially my semi-pro work shooting photos to tell the stories I utilize in my work at an advocacy nonprofit.
Excerpt: This lens often suffers from quality control issues. Despite the metal construction and sense of solid quality, in actual reality the lens barrel and mount may have some play and little wobbly when the lens barrel is extended.
