Best lens made by Fuji

Robert J. Steiner "Bob Steiner", Amazon
  • Summary: Best lens made by Fuji. I'm a long time Leica user, but this lens rivals any Leica glass I've owned on an M9 - currently using this on an XT-1 - striking clarity, corner to corner.

Nice option to the XF 56mm f/1.2 R APD

Steve, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: So far this 85mm equivalent has performed well. Not weather sealed but about half the price. XF 56mm f/1.2 R APD is out of my price range. I am using this lens as part of a mirrorless system I use for party/fun photos.
  • Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus

Excellent as 23mm but in a different way

Daniel T., B&H Photo
22 March 2015
  • Excerpt: I owned a Fuji 23mm lens, this is my second lens. This lens is sharp and built very well. The size and weight is similar to my 23mm. But the focus is slower than 23mm and you can hear some noise when it focus. People said it's normal. I don't think it matters too much neither. It just not as quiet as Canon USM (my old camera system). Switching lens is a little difficult because there is little room for my hand to hold on to it.
  • Pros: Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Difficult To Change Lens

I was thinking of giving it only 4 stars but ...

Jorge Baez, Amazon
18 March 2015
  • Summary: I was thinking of giving it only 4 stars but 1.2 is difficult for fast focus on any Brand lens. Other wise this baby is sharper than a MoFo and the Bokeh is just Lucius. The motor is a little noisy but this is irrelevant once you see your end results. 2 thumbs up for me :) By the way this lens may make me sell my 5D mk III. Using a Silver Graphite X-T1 with it.

Great lens

orutherfurd, B&H Photo
15 March 2015
  • Excerpt: As many have said, this is a great, fast, short telephoto. Focus is reasonably quick, but can hunt a bit when contrast or light are low. The focus is very accurate, however.
  • Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh
  • Cons: Slow Focus

Beautiful sharp images

Richard, Amazon
15 March 2015
  • Summary: I love this lens. A bit heavy for the camera but not to bad. You know I have a good selection of lens for my XT1's and they do add a little bit of weight to the lightweight mirrorless cameras. Sometimes I wonder if some of these lens defeats the purpose of the mirrorless cameras. But I can't say this is a heavy lens. It works perfectly on my camera body. Balanced well especially with the metal hand grip I use. And images are extremely sharp. This is a beautiful lens.
