Excerpt: I bought this converter lens to get better indoor shots at family events with the Grandkids. I got my first chance to use it this weekend. The shots were very smooth and the lens worked just as I had expected. I got great performance throughout the entire zoom range and even in relatively low light the performance was very good. I would recommend this as a great add on.
Excerpt: Useful option to provide extra wide coverage. The only reason for 4 stars is that I would prefer an integrated lens cover and a way to attach Matt Box style filters (such as threads). Glass is nice and product is as described, functions well with the XF100. Cost is a bit high, but the quality of the glass is good.
Excerpt: If you shoot conference rooms, meetings, etc. this will open up your shot to encompass more of the room. It's not like using a 14mm lens, but it does pull in a little more of the room and attendees. Not a 'must-have' but definitely a 'nice-to-have' accessory. I did not notice any degradation of the image quality when attached, in fact, I just leave it on most of the time.
Excerpt: I'm using this adapter on the Canon Vixia HF G10. Results are excellent with just the slightest softening of the image and maybe a third of a stop of light loss. The only real downsides to this lens are the weight - it weighs almost as much as the camera - and the price. On the other hand, you get what you pay for: an excellently crafted lens that performs as advertised.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: Why put cheap glass on a good camera? This is a great lens. You'll need to menu-dive to switch on the lens converter on the XA10, which isn't a problem once you get you get familiar with the camera. As mentioned in other reviews, there is some distortion when full-wide,but again, this isn't a problem once you know it.
