VERY AWSOME lens

PJDSR, Amazon
4 March 2015
  • Summary: I was a little skeptical when I ordered this; had a special project to film, a Baptist Heritage Seminar - 6 2 hour sessions. I had to be able to get the entire platform into view, singers on the left, speaker in the middle and powerpoint showing overhead. I was amazed how quality this lens was/is, I was able to double my field of view, then narrow it down to the exact dimensions I needed for perfect framing of the event. DVD's going out today and they look very good.

Great accessory!

24 July 2014
  • Excerpt: XF105 is a great camera but often doesn't go wide enough. This converter does the trick and is very high quality. It's a bit heavy so balance is a bit front-heavy but not a big deal.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Interfaces Well With Camcorder
  • Cons: Heavy

  • Summary: Converter lens works as advertized. I like this lens so I don't have to back up when video-shooting several people together in a wide shot.

Works perfectly

15 December 2013
  • Excerpt: I bought this converter lens to get better indoor shots at family events with the Grandkids. I got my first chance to use it this weekend. The shots were very smooth and the lens worked just as I had expected. I got great performance throughout the entire zoom range and even in relatively low light the performance was very good. I would recommend this as a great add on.

Good Wide Angle Option

Nearly in Focus, B&H Photo
21 October 2013
  • Excerpt: Useful option to provide extra wide coverage. The only reason for 4 stars is that I would prefer an integrated lens cover and a way to attach Matt Box style filters (such as threads). Glass is nice and product is as described, functions well with the XF100. Cost is a bit high, but the quality of the glass is good.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Interfaces Well With Camcorder
  • Cons: No front threads

Great for every day use

K. Zibart, Amazon
17 August 2013
  • Summary: I bought this conversion lens to go with a Vixia HF G20, which was an upgrade from an old HF10 and a .66x Raynox "HD" conversion lens. The Raynox was good if you stayed wide, but if you tried to zoom in while using it, the image quality degraded terribly. So I tended to only use it when I absolutely needed to, which unfortunately was a lot. The G20's lens is a bit wider than the HF10's, so I considered not buying a wide angle converter.

Great add-on to my Canon camcorder

Sinclair, B&H Photo
25 April 2013
  • Excerpt: This is a nice add-on. It doesn't get quite as wide as I would like and it does display some distortion (especially at full wide), but it's is still a nice converter to use.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Good Interface With Camcorder, Improves Performance, Quality Construction
  • Cons: Slight Distortion At Full
