Stiff mounting on EF body, but works as advertised.

Stephen S., Amazon
8 April 2015
  • Summary: The fit of the back of the EF mount onto the camera body was a bit tight / stiff (but not 'grindy' at least), or I would have given it 5 stars. Otherwise the adapter communicates with my EF 50mm f/2.5 macro. I'm happy.

Perfect Match for the Canon 50mm f/2.5

Paul S. Racicot "time tech", Amazon
29 October 2013
  • Summary: This converter allows the Canon 50mm f/2.5 macro lens to render a 1:1 (life-size) image. Great for macro work. Be advised that you cannot focus to infinity with this attached however.

This item is only for the Canon EOS 50mm f2.5 Macro 1:2 lense

Tim Marshall, Amazon
31 August 2013
  • Summary: This item was primarily designed for the Canon EOS 50mm f2.5 Macro 1:2 lens. This adapter allows you to amp your lens to a 1:1 or twice the image resolution. Be sure to add it to your lens before than mounting it to the camera so that your electronics are properly compensated for during metering.

I've been converted

Nels, B&H Photo
21 June 2013
  • Excerpt: The combination of the 50mm lens and the dedicated converter provide a wide range of photography options. The 50mm can be used as a very good standard lens but with the converter you almost match the performance of a 100mm macro lens
  • Pros: Easy To Use

Does the job

20 October 2010
  • Excerpt: My Canon 50mm macro was an underwhelming lens until I stuck this on it. Doubt I'll ever take it off now. It certainly saved a lens I was considering selling.

Compact, handy and useful

Bob, B&H Photo
18 March 2010
  • Excerpt: I use the Life-Size Converter in photographing small flowers and insects. The accompanying documentation is minimal. The 50mm macro lens has a minimum f-stop of f32. With the Life-Size Converter, my EOS-5D says the minimum f-stop is f57!
