Versatile Lens

K K., Amazon
14 June 2014
  • Summary: I just returned from an Alaskan cruise, and purchased this lens prior to the trip based on the recommendation of a Canon customer service representative. Until then, I had the 18-55 mm and the 75-300 "kit" lenses. This lens, in a word, was amazing. The sharpness of the images due to the image stabalizer were unlike anything I had realized before.

EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6

Kel, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I bought this lens for my Canon 60d. EF-S 18-135mm STM has much longer reach. I do not think I will ever need anything longer than 135mm.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Strong Construction

Good Starter lens

Gphoto, Canon
25 May 2014
  • Conclusion: This lens has a good focal range but with a constant vignetting problem. The auto focus works well in daylight, however searches too much in less adequate outdoor and indoor lighting situations. The lens is built well despite the other issues and would make a good starter lens. I like how this lens and other canon starter kit lenses have metal connection points to the lens bayonet, it increases durability when compared to lenses that have cheap plastic connection points.
  • Pros: sharp images, good focal range, quick image stabilization
  • Cons: Slow auto-focus, vignetting

Great Lens

S. Nelson, Amazon
23 May 2014
  • Summary: Great multi use lens. Fantastic and VERY honest Vendor. The first Lens I received jammed after a couple of weeks. I called their CS - spoke to a LIVE person!! who told me to ship the broken one back with tracking. Within several days of shipping I received a completely new one in the mail. But the real silver lining to the story: I accidentally left a $60 polarizing filter on the one I shipped back. They packaged it up separately in bubble wrap and returned it to me!

  • Summary: This is my jack of all trades lens. I keep it mounted on my camera. Only time it comes off is if I need my 50mm.

Perfect Lens

Deb, Amazon
12 May 2014
  • Summary: This lens has been perfect for shooting senior portraits and and engagement photos. The lens works just like any other cannon, only it came in a white box, but I don't care what kind of box the lens comes in. I care about the quality of the lens, and this happens to be my favorite new lens.
