Summary: We are using this lens (we have two of them) on a Canon 70D and 7D Mk II. We have a Sigma 18 to 250 mm 1:3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens with which we were becoming increasingly unimpressed as a general walk around lens. The images seemed flat and lifeless somehow. This Canon lens is much much better. The images seem to jump out at you. This may be because the Canon camera body recognizes the lens and applies corrections to the image as a result.
Summary: I purchased the Canon 18-135mm STM ( white box, new with warranty ) from Brainstorm LLC. Shipping was fast it arrived in 2 days. I have a t4i and it seems to work well as this is my second attempt at purchasing the 18-135mm STM lens, the first from another seller which had a few issues with focusing and was sent back. I`ve used this lens few times taking pictures and video of the kids playing football it focused well and sound was good.
Summary: Great lens, great price. Warranty card included. Used this lens extensively with my SL1 while on vacation this past month and the resulting images were excellent. Very versatile lens. The range allowed me use this lens exclusively. If there is a "con" it would be that the lens extends when carrying pointed down. That is a "nit", not really an issue, just remember to lock the lens. I like the lens, would recommend it to others.
Summary: This is the holy grail of video lenses when paired with a camera with full time auto-focus in video such as the t4i. You will never hear this lens focusing in videos, unlike USM or standard focus lenses. This is a good all around lens to use for the casual photographer that also shoots video.
Excerpt: I'm relatively new to the DSLR world and got this as the kit lens with my T5i. This lens provides really great, sharp photos with the help of the IS system and the bokeh I get with a wide aperture is lovely. The STM autofocus is quick and virtually silent. I tried a couple videos with it and you couldn't hear the focus at all.It seems a little on the heavy side but I guess I am not too experienced with many other lenses so I don't have much to compare it to.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Summary: My favorite lens this time, out of the four I have. Picture perfect every time I use. The ranges are so beautiful, and just can't take out from my camera body. Very fluid and so silent during adjustments. Again, I Love This Lens! Highly recommend this 18-135mm Lens from Canon.
