Cool Lens, But Do You Want the Circle?
Adventures of a GoodMan, B&H Photo

Excerpt: I go back and forth on this lens. On one hand, it's super cool and I love getting in 180 degrees. On the other hand, I find the circle look a bit corny. I went back and forth on whether to keep this lens and in the end opted for the 15mm fixed Sigman at 2.8. Plus, the lens cap is terrible!
Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Strong Construction
Excerpt: Amazing fisheye lens. Very sharp for my panorama business. I gave it a 3 because of the stupid lens cap which is pure garbage, it's even worst than the cap on my old 15 mm f 2.8 Fish eye (which I had to sell sadly in order to afford this one). The slightest rubbing of the cap against your bag material or body will make it fall of, in which case you will have yourself a nicely scratched $ lens which will make a great door stopper!
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Strong Construction
Excerpt: This fish eye lens requires experience to use it right. You have to be careful about the horizon else the effects can be quite warped. On a Canon 5D mark iii, the usable range is 14 or 15 mm with the hood on. Below that focal length, the hood can be seen. Of course, if using the 8 mm, you will get a full circle but this may not be desirable. As with any fish eye, there is chromatic abberation on the edges. But this if fixable in CS6 especially if shooting raw.
Pros: Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I have a closet full of L lenses. I would rate most of them a five and none lower than a four. Why am I rating this wonderful lens a three. A terrible, very terrible, lens cover. It will not stay on.Since I am using this lens on a full size sensor, I have taped the lens cap to the lens hood. Lose the lens cap, and it will cost you $ for a new one!
Excerpt: Very good optics, but there is a great deal of chromatic aberration, especially at 8 mm, around the edge of the image area, which is obviously due to the circular image against the black edges.
