Great, but not with some issues

Ben, B&H Photo
24 January 2013
  • Excerpt: I use the 70-200 mainly for sports and wildlife photography. Its a great lens, very sharp, slim, and easy to use. But there are a few things that just arent ideal about this lens. For instance, in some situations the focus will take a very long time.
  • Pros: Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Blurry Focus, Heavy, Poor in Low Light, Slow Focus

Great Lens for The Price - Is not Fast

JCO, B&H Photo
8 April 2011
  • Excerpt: This is an excellent lens for the price. Be aware that the lack of image stabilization and the maximum aperture of f/4.0 makes it only ideal for very well lit places where capturing action is not required.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight, Rugged
  • Cons: Poor in Low Light, Slow Focus

Medium telephoto.

  • Excerpt: It is a good zoom lens and extraordinarily light weight. The opening of four demand slower speeds or use of flash, but it is a lens construction L. To consider cost effective.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight

Nice lightweight alternative to f2.8

Tom, B&H Photo
10 August 2010
  • Excerpt: A good supplement to your system, but not to replace the f2.8. Makes for a nice normal lens alternative to the 24-105 f4, if you lean to a longer focal length zoom.
  • Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh

"L lens at a low cost"

Dan Fuller, B&H Photo
8 August 2010
  • Excerpt: This Lens is a great lens for the price. It is the cheaper of the other L lenses because of its limitations. Although it might not have a great F stop for night and no image stabilization, it has served me well during photo shoots during the day and even has performed well at concert photo shoots.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Rugged, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy, Poor in Low Light, Slow Focus

Not good enough...

Jules, B&H Photo
25 August 2008
  • Excerpt: This lens is ok, but if you are going to spend the money stretch yourself a bit and get the lens with Image Stabilizer. I regret getting this lens. But not that I bought it from B&H. They are a great company.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Sharp Focus
  • Cons: Slow Focus

Nice Lens

Haks, B&H Photo
2 June 2008
  • Excerpt: Bought this lens for a recent vacation to L.A., New York and New Orleans. Images were a little soft. I will sell it and buy the faster f 2.8 with IS. This lens is ok when mounted to a tripod.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Easy To Clean, Lightweight, Rugged, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Blurry Focus, Slow Focus

EOS Elan te

  • Summary: This camera comes with alot of features to help you take that great picture. It's a great camera. That's simple to use and you take good pictures with. I enjoy the results I get from mine. My Negative for me is that it's a little to squarish for me I'm use to the smoothness of the Minolta's.
