Conclusion: This lens is so good it is almost unbelievable. The color this lens captures is beautiful and is very impressive. The lens zooms in and out with ease and focusing is precise and easy to work in manual setting. The only issue I have had with it is when using it with a t5i during a sports game the autofocusing is slow, but upon asking other owner's of this lens with different cameras, they as well as I believe this is due to the fast pace of the switching focuses that...
Summary: Image is excellent at all focals starting from f4. Close up image (at MFD) is very good, except at 135-200mm on my copy. For this situation I use only 70-100mm. The slipping focus is history now after free service.
Pros: excelent IQ, light weight, very good IS and finally but not the last excellent IQ :)))
Cons: the hood could be better, slipping focus but after service it's ok
Summary: Read all the reviews before committing to buy and was not disappointed, the IS all canon claim and the IQ beyond reproach. WOW this is one great lens..... to me well worth the premium over the older non IS version. Used with a 5d mk111 and f4 no real handicap even when used for sport/ low light.
Summary: The images I got from this lens (traded up to the IS model) are stunning. The first ones i shot in comparison to ones from previous lenses were so good I almost peed myself. This is definitely my favorite lens.
Summary: A Awesome lens for around $1300 Brand New...and one I recommend 100% for the Advanced Amateur and semi-Pro it has the best of both worlds a Decent price and Superior Picture quality plus 4-stop image stabilizer with 2 modes and also 2 focus modes that are very helpful for fast focus, (IS)Image Stabilized 4-stops). Is it right for YOU??.... well that's a hard question but here are some key facts and situations that may help you decide... Pros..
Conclusion: I debated for a long time before shelling out this much on a lens. I couldn't decide between it and the non IS version. I'm so glad I purchased this lens. A big plus to this lens is that it does not change length when you zoom. The images are really sharp, and the image stabilizer is a life saver when needed. This 70-200 is the best bang for your money, go buy this one. You will not regret it, that's for sure!
Pros: Fast auto-focus, Superior build quality, Super-sharp images, light weight, amazing is

Summary: This is THE go-to lens for anyone on ANY size sensor, 1.6x, 1.3 or full frame. Images are tack sharp and its MTF charts are bested only by lenses that cost several thousand dollars. The stabilizer is good for 4 stops and works great for pans. I sue mine on a 60d and 5d, on the 60d it works out to a 120-320 f4 and gives me a little more reach, but on the 5D it's a fantastic portrait lens. The range is almost walkaround perfect and the lens feels great in your hands.
