  • Excerpt: I have been taking pictures of my sister's softball games for 3 years with the 60D and the EF-S 55-250 IS and got some good shots during the day, but f5.6 was unusable at night. I decided to try out this lens and have been blown away with the sharpness and speed of this lens.
  • Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy

  • Excerpt: I laugh when I hear comments like you have to have the IS version of this lens. With todays high ISO performance with virtually all DSLR's, I.S. just not needed. I would recommend this lens to anyone who is serious about photography and make sure you find the light.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy

  • Summary: Well I've waited over a year now to write something. I have used this zoom lens exclusively on my 6D and my comments specific to that. -just add one to what everyone else has already said here about the quality of images with this lens and it's heft.

Fantastic Lens

It's Me "Noah", Amazon

  • Summary: This lens kicks butt. Bought this for my son who is a budding photographer. He takes photos for his schools surf club and this lens lets him zoom way in from the beach to catch them hangin' 10 easily. Photos are crisp and clear even when zooming in on them on the computer.
