EF 70-200mm USM Lens

FrankieTR, B&H Photo
18 September 2014
  • Excerpt: Thought I may be able to use this lens as a general purpose lens but it is too heavy and I need the ability to be closer than the 70mm allows. The pictures I took outside turned out very nice. It did not do too well at a distance when inside.
  • Pros: Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy, Poor in Low Light

Excellent Lens, but heavy and lengthy

G. Johnson "Esoxhunter", Amazon
12 March 2014
  • Summary: This is an awesome lens, but it is much bigger and heavier than I anticipated, hence only 4 stars. I have a Sigma Bigma and this lens is only slightly smaller. I have only taken maybe 50 photos with it and it autofocuses immediately, is very quiet and the pictures turned out great as they were crisp...

Great lens but no IS is difficult

ELINICHOL, B&H Photo
12 March 2014
  • Excerpt: Don't get me wrong, this is the lenses is sharp, well designed and it built like a tank. I scoured the Internet for reviews on how this lens handles handheld with no IS and with no luck. So I thought to try it and I couldn't make it work for me.

Very Satisfied

Morris Gregwire, B&H Photo
30 December 2013
  • Excerpt: I have not used the newer, more expensive version of this lens, but I see no immediate reason to spend the extra $ for the upgrade. So far, I am very satisfied with the quality of the photos this lens takes, even in low light. So glad I saved the money and went with this lens...

Great lens, Great Quality............Flipping heavy!!

Josh5803, Amazon
30 December 2013
  • Summary: I love this lens, it is built like a tank. I use this lens to shoot sporting events like football, high school wrestling and basketball. I have spent 12 plus hours shooting with this thing and let me say it is very very heavy. At the end of the day you will be a little sore.

  • Excerpt: I bought this lens for taking pictures of my daughter playing volleyball. It's heavier than I am used to, but the pictures are surprisingly crisp and detailed. I take pictures from inside a high school gym, which has less than perfect lighting.
  • Pros: Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy, Poor in Low Light
