• Excerpt: Excellent product! Every new photographer should get one of these nifty fifties! I am definitely an amateur photographer, and this lens has improved my shooting game exponentially. I am also VERY poor, to the point that the cost of this lens was a little out of my range, but I saved up and got one and I have no regrets except not getting this glass sooner!tl/dr: Great Price, Game Improver, Worth It.

Great first prime lens

Photomama21, B&H Photo

 • Excerpt: Great quality photos. With nice depth of field blur to photos. This being my first prime you have to get out of the mode of zooming with you hand and start zooming with your feet which isn't a negative just a habit I'm sure you'll catch yourself doing. Overall excellent prime for the price to see if primes suit your photography.

Love it! Amazingly sharp!

 • Excerpt: Bought this primary lens a couple of weeks ago so still working through what it can and cannot do. But initial impression an impressive lens at a great price.

Gaussian optics with six elements in five groups. That F1.8 maximum aperture lets in more than four times as much light as a typical kit zoom lens.

Using it on a Canon 70D (APS-C) so the resulting focal length is the equivalent of an 80mm lens.

Received good points on DPReview.
 • Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh
