Canon EF 50MM f/1.8 II Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras
2 weeks ago
Excerpt: Good price for the lens, I really like the low noise in low light at even high iso due to its wide 1.8 Aperture, photo mode Auto Focus is fine but for video its completely useless ultimately slow and loud, Overall a good lens for the price
Pros: Nice bokeh and low noise in low light, you will get some serious quality out of it
Cons: Video Auto Focus is useless the lens will just sit there confused and not auto focus
Excerpt: Great price point and quite good. If you don't want to carry, or spend the money on the 1.4 or the 1.2, you can't beat the value of this little lens. Only disadvantage is the tiny manual focus ring.
Excerpt: Though the construction of the lens feels lacking, you can't argue with the performance for the price. Especially considering the versatility of this lens - you'll find yourself using it pretty frequently in a lot of different settings.
Excerpt: VERY happy with this lens. Not ridiculously priced either which is awesome! It makes a beautiful bokeh effect in the background which is what I wanted. Also light weight. I recommend buying this lens!
Excerpt: Purchased this lens to replace an identical lens that failed after about 25,000 photos (autofocus problem - probably from wear). I consider this very good considering the price. For most use, the optical quality is not distinguishable from higher priced lenses from Canon.
