Summary: I bought this lens assuming it would be an upgrade from my EF28-105 and 28-200mm tamron xr. I was wrong, both the ef28-105mm and the 28-200 are sharper at 28mm even when stopped down. Pass on this prime, 5 element construction is not enough, even my cheapo 22-55mm usm is sharper.
Pros: Small, handles flair well
Cons: soft edges, outclassed by ef 28-105mm and ef 22-55mm
Great lens for the price and takes beautiful wide angle photos.

Summary: The 28mm EF lens from Canon is pretty much the go-to wide angle prime lens for beginners and those on a budget. The decently high aperture is great for creating some nice bokeh effects, but the edges of the photos come out a bit blurry when shooting at f/2.8. Stopping it down a few clicks to about 5.0 or lower will be best.
Summary: This lens is vary easy to use. The focus ring is vary small, and the motor sound for focusing is a little loud but you can only hear it if thier is no other noise. The only big down side is that this a wide angle lens only thier is no zoom just focus.
Summary: Gammal af-motor, men ändå rätt snabb.
