Excerpt: I am an hobbyist photographer that wanted to improve the quality of images I was producing. This lens does just that...sharper, great color, and versatile. Would recommend to anyone...nothing that isn't so great about it yet that I can find...unless a lower apeture?
Pros: Easily Interchangeable, Sharp, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I own a 24mm, 35mm, and a 50mm that are all prime L glass lenses. When I purchased this, I was able to save a ton of time switching lenses when on work opportunities and was also able to get more shots quickly never losing a moment. I'd recommend this lens to everybody, professionals and beginners.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus
Excerpt: I shoot Landscape Architecture and Architecture. I've used the 24-70 I for many years...with some trepidation as it's resolution was relatively poor on the edges of the frame. After acquiring the 24-70 II, I did careful testing of a resolution target in the studio and was surprised to find a marked improvement. The edge to edge sharpness and lack of chromatic aberration rivals that of my best prime focus lenses.
Excerpt: I own several Canon lenses and this one was to compliment the 35-70 focal range. All lenses are good but all pricey. All my camera equipment has been purchased through B&H who I find very reliable.
Excerpt: I have used Version I of this lens for a decade, and always appreciated its image quality, so much so that I was dubious version II could be significantly better. The detailed comparative review at http: //www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EF-24-70mm-f-2.8-L-II-USM-Lens-Review.aspx, particularly the MTF chart comparison, and http: //www.lensrentals.com/blog/2012/09/canon-24-70-f2-8-ii-resolution-tests, pushed me to upgrade.
Excerpt: I read several reviews about this lens, all gave outstanding remarks. I have lens mounted on my Canon 5D Mark III and the results are stunning. The sharpness of the lens is only equaled by my EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens. The 24-70 is a super fast and super sharp exciting lens. The detail in photos is fantastic. Even my black fur Pug who never photographs well looks like she just won Westminster Dog Show. A bonus I did not expect was the quality of the jpeg files.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction, Super Fast Super Sharp
Excerpt: I use this lens for in a variety of ways. I use it for all kinds of events (Weddings, parties, engagement shoots, gallery openings, performances, etc.) and to shoot short videos. In all of the situations I have used the lens, it has performed superbly. I love how fast it focuses and the sharp images it produces. For video, it performs just as well. I love the lock feature to keep it from sliding out when you are walking around with it attached to the camera.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus
Excerpt: This is possibly one of the most versatile and beautiful lenses in my bag. A go-to lens that you won't regret investing in! I've shot with the Version 1, and love how much sharper and lighter this lens is. Also, and this is minor, zooming from wide to telephoto actually pushes the elements apart; unlike Version 1. On V1, what drove me crazy was that the elements actually compressed when the focal length was at 70mm.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight
