  • Excerpt: This is the lens I use most often. I get good results on about 95% of my shots. I have been using this lens now for about 6-7 months now. After using it for a while, I have noticed some creeping in the zoom, whenever the camera is facing the ground, the zoom extends all the way out and I have to...

  • Excerpt: This lens came with our Canon C100. After reading several reviews I was wary of using it for big jobs, but I must say that this is a good every day lens. I've always been a big proponent of Sigma lenses, but I have found this to be comparable.
  • Pros: Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Sharp

  • Excerpt: I really like this lens, and i'm very glad to have it in my arsenal. The sharpness, combined with the great focal range (especially on aps-c sensor cameras) make this my go to lens in most cases.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Poor in Low Light

  • Excerpt: I'm using this lens on a Sony FS-700 and it seems to perform quite well indeed as a "standard" lens for my style of run and gun shooting. I appreciate how close it focuses and the OIS works to keep shots smooth. With the requisite Metabones Speed Booster, it's good in low light.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy

  • Summary: Nice lens but the lens creep sucks. You would think a $800 or more lens would be tighter than this. I now have to pus a 2 cent rubber band over the zoom ring to hold the lens zoom in place.

  • Summary: I always resisted spending out the extra cash on these red ringed beauties from canon thinking "well really how much better can it really be, is it really worth the extra cash!!".. I decided to get one after a long time and as these lenses will not break your bank to much i went ahead and got it.
