Excerpt: There are a lot of bad reviews about this lens. It does have it's flaws, but overall it is great wide angle lens for the price. I was in the market for as wide of a lens as I could find around the $500 price mark. And this what I took a risk after reading multiple bad reviews.
Summary: What a little jewel! I ran into an online review saying I have to get a copy for my full frame camera. Apparently it has a problem with vignetting, but modern cameras including my 6D come with software that automatically corrects for it, so you can't tell.
Excerpt: This lens is great as a wide and with an aperture going as low as 2.8 is amazing, however, when in low light and shooting at that low of an aperture, there will be a vignetting around your photos. Please be aware of that feature.
Excerpt: I absolutely love this lense. It is just wide enough that it doesn't distort my image quality, yet is very versatile. I use it for landscape shots around NYC and have already printed multiple images.
Excerpt: I must agree with many of the others: the lens has a good feel, good handling of perspective, but there's significant vignetting and soft focus, even when placed on a tripod with remote shutter. I returned it to B&H after one week (my kudos to B&H for their courteous handling of returns).
Excerpt: I bought it to use with my Canon 5D Mark III for street photography and the occasional landscape. Very true colors and little distortion (nice) but serious vignetting, especially noticeable in the landscape shots.
