Conclusion: I bought this as a backup to my 70-200 2.8 III lens and it is a disappointment. Does not hold up to the performance of the 70-200 AT ALL. Maybe I got a bad copy, but mine is not god enough to be worth shooting. I keep it around for my daughter (she's 14 and has a rebel) to shoot. Not recommended...
Excerpt: Unfortunately, I did not have as good an experience with this lens as I had hoped. It's not that the lens is bad; by all accounts, it is a magnificently built, high-quality component to a photographer's arsenal - just not mine. My amateur hobbyist status probably had a lot to do with my experience, but I just couldn't love this lens with total commitment. I would say the lens is better suited to photographers who shoot with a tripod or those who have a rock steady hand.
Excerpt: I admit that this lens was cleary sharp and fast focus. Excellent lens.
But one thing is there is no IS, and 200mm bit shaky if u can not hold it right. After 2 days i bought this lens i returned and swap to 70-200mm F/2.8 IS, I know this lens is very heavy and expensive but this lens is the most photographer use and excellent sharp.
Should i recommend you 200mm lens ? Its depend what you using at, coz no IS.
