Excerpt: On a full-frame camera, anything shot at 17-22mm is basically unusable. Faces, bodies, buildings, etc. at the edges of these photos will be completely deformed. Some people will suggest that if you shoot the "right" way, you won't have this problem.
Pros: Strong Construction
Cons: Deformed Images, Poor in Low Light, Terrible Landscape Images
Excerpt: I rented this lens for a trip to Vegas and Hoover Dam this past weekend. I found the lens an extreme disappointment with sharpness, and low light shots in the bowels of the dam. Used it on a 5Dii.
Cons: Blurry Focus, Poor in Low Light, Washed Out Colors
Excerpt: I asked for and received this lens as a gift, otherwise I would have bought it based on other reviews. The image quality from this "L" series lens is vastly disappointing at its very best. I am old school film, convert to digital. I use standardized techniques to shoot test scenarios.
Excerpt: This lens is very overhyped. I am a professional photographer, and have used it extensively when photographing weddings. It produces very poor color and contrast, and extensive "Photoshopping" is needed to clean up the images. It also is very hit and miss on producing sharp images.
