Summary: Canon 14 mm wild. Bought used (excellent condition) for $1600. You have to get really close but has good depth of field. Not great for people unless you like super long legs. The faces might be distorted. Special use, fun lens.
Excerpt: Bought the Canon EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM (prime) lens and took it to France to shoot pictures every day for three months in 2011. Shot over 8,000 raw images and many videos using my 5D Mark II camera, mostly on tripod, many of them with this lens.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Great for Video
Summary: Digital Video: I think the 14mm USM2 is so amazing for video work, that I have to keep it. It focuses at 7 inch on the full frame 5d3 and shoots amazing stuff that looks like no other 24mm or prime for video. I have used it in two documentaries, and I feel like it has paid for itself.
