Excerpt: I bought this lens because so many people said they used it for sports in a gym with a crop sensor. That gets them close to 200mm without investing in a 70-200mm. I shoot XC, and Indoor and outdoor track and field. I use my 70-200mm with 5DMarkIII for running events and a 7D with the 135mm for field events. I've only used it once, so I'm not making a clear judgement yet, but I did not find it such a snappy focusing lens. I would say 50-60% of my shots were out of focus.
Excerpt: i might have a bad copy here and have to sent it back to adorama to check it out. i have problem with focusing . it tend to be out of focus on my copy . my speed is around 400 and up so i don't think it was an issue. i would love it if this problem is fix. For example, if i focus on the face , then the face not too clear but her chest and arm would be. It focus very slow. i'm very disappointment at this lense.
Excerpt: This lens is great, but due to the focal length, you have to be wary on the shutter speed, i found my images to be shaky when i shoot later in the afternoon. i do struggle with auto focusing at times, in which i would have to switch to manual focus apart from these, the colour and the depth of field is simply amazing!
