Excerpt: I was INSTANTLY pleased with this lens. I have had a chance to use it as both a portrait and macro lens in the short time I have had it and my photos have been impressing all! So far, have only used it inside - can't wait to get it out into the woods next week!
Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus
Excerpt: I shoot cast headshots, for Community Theatre productions in Ringgold, GA. I have used a 50mm Macro lens, for my portrait shots, and am looking forward to using this my new Canon 100mm Macro Lens not only for the Canon quality, but also for more separation between my subject and the camera.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus
Excerpt: I'm enjoying the new macro possibilities. I'm finding best results require using a tripod if up real close and shooting f8 or higher. If money was no object, then I might prefer the IS version. But as it is I'm happily sharing clear and clean macro images on my blog.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh
